The Sheepfold Ministry is a faith-based organization dedicated to nurturing spiritual growth, fostering fellowship, and equipping believers to walk in purpose and power. It is a digital-first ministry reaching thousands across Kenya and beyond through social media, online groups, prayer circles, and discipleship content.
The ministry is seeking a Spirit-led, digitally savvy Community Manager to shepherd its online community with wisdom, warmth, and the Word of God.
Position Summary
The Community Manager will serve as the primary shepherd of the ministry’s digital community, engaging, encouraging, and empowering people across:

Key Responsibilities
1. Spiritual Leadership & Discipleship
-
Lead online prayer sessions, Scripture reflections, and faith-based discussions.

Provide biblical encouragement and respond to spiritual inquiries with wisdom and sensitivity.

Follow up with new believers, prayer requests, and those in need of pastoral care.
2. Community Engagement & Moderation
-
Manage daily interactions across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, and email.
-
Foster a safe, respectful, and Christ-centered environment in all digital spaces.

Address conflicts, false teaching, or inappropriate content with grace and truth.
3. Content Support & Communication
-
Work with the content team to plan and schedule devotionals, announcements, and event promotions.

Support blogging and article writing, including editing blog posts, devotionals, and articles aligned with ministry themes and seasonal focuses.

Assist in planning podcast episodes, engaging listeners, promoting new releases, and moderating podcast comment sections.

Help coordinate visual and audio content, including live streams, video devotionals, and audio-based prayer content.

Draft encouraging messages, email newsletters, and group updates.

Monitor feedback and insights to help shape ministry content and initiatives.
4. Growth & Follow-Up
-
Welcome new members personally and integrate them into the community.
-
Track engagement trends and suggest strategies for deeper connection and retention.

Coordinate with volunteers and group leaders to ensure consistent follow-up and care.
5. Reporting & Spiritual Accountability
-
Provide weekly reports on community health, prayer needs, and testimonies.

Participate in ministry prayer meetings and strategy sessions.
-
Operate under the covering and direction of the Ministry Director.
Qualifications & Requirements
Spiritual
-
Born-again believer with a vibrant personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Solid understanding of the Bible and ability to teach and apply Scripture appropriately.
-
Heart for pastoral care, discipleship, and evangelism.

Agreement with The Sheepfold Ministry’s statement of faith and values.
Professional & Technical
-
Proven experience in community management, social media, or digital ministry.
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
-
Swahili is an added advantage.
